Stuart Kitchen (IOSH)
As the Senior Managing Director of HSL Construction Ltd, Stuart oversees all aspects of running the Company.
Stuart has a wealth of Experience within the Industry and plays a key role in the day to day works from Survey stage to completion.
He is also the holder of an IOSH Managing Safety Accreditation and pays particular attention to the Health and Safety of the workforce including anyone affected by our works.
As Director for the Fleet Operators Licence, Stuart is also responsible for the Company vehicles (most of which are owned by HSL). Taking care that all the vehicles follow a strict Maintenance and Inspection programme and that all vehicles are Road Worthy and all Operatives are fully trained and competent to use them.
In addition to these duties, Stuart is also a Key member of the Finance team and forms a vital role in maintaining the Growth and Sustainability of the Company.
Lee is a very ‘ hands on’ working director and plays a Key role in making sure the staff have a clear understanding of their duties and responsibilities to deliver a quality service to our clients and on time.
With his hands on approach he works very closely with our supervisors and oversees the management of all operations.
Working closely with our operatives, Lee is ideally placed to recognise any gaps in training and monitors our Health and safety management requirements with regular Supervisor meetings held at our base.
In addition to his duties as Director of operations, he is also responsible for implementing our Environmental policies and is dedicated to finding ways to reduce the amount of Landfill waste the company would otherwise produce. Lee has recently completed an Environmental Awareness course which is accredited by RoSPA.
Helen plays an important role in the company and as the Accounts manager deals with the day to day running of the finances.
Helen is also heavily involved in organising and keeping our clients up to date with invoicing matters and is the main contact for all Administration issues and documents.
As Company Secretary Helen deals with all Company Policies, Duty of Care issues, Legalities and ensures we adhere to strict Health and Safety guidelines as part of our proactive involvement as members of CHAS and Construction Line.
Andy Vickery (IOSH) (SMSTS) (NRSWA)
Andy's key role is to secure new contracts for the Company and is vital to the long term success and stability of HSL Construction Ltd.
Liaising with the client from the planning stages through to completion, Andy has a clear understanding of our client’s requirements and is dedicated to providing sound advice and workable solutions to often difficult problems which may arise. Often these solutions result in considerable time and cost savings for the client.
Andy is also the holder of an IOSH Managing Safety Accreditation and SMSTS & NRSWA Supervisor and is able to supply our clients with Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to works commencement.
As Media Operator, Colin keeps our website and social media pages like Facebook and Google+ up to date.
Working closely with our Website provider and the regular uploading of Videos, Photographs and monitoring the information held on our website, has rewarded us with a great website and great ratings.
Colin is a keen photographer and often follows our teams to locations all over the UK, to provide us with excellent content and photographs which we hope give our future clients a good insight to our services.
Field Support Engineer
Gary's role within the company is looking after the Plant like skid steers and rollers and attending small breakdowns on site.
He has worked for the company for over 15 years, showing dedication and loyalty to the company.
Working closely with the Operations Director, Gary’s qualifications and experience means he is able to take a leading role on various contracts.
Qualifications Include: CSCS,CPCS, NRSWA – SUPERVISOR, IPAF,IOSH
Michael is our highways site supervisor on all highways contracts and his duties include daily safety checks, co-ordinating with teams on highways projects and liasing with the client and our company manager. Michael has to ensure that teams comply with chapter 8, NRSWA and that the operations run safely.

Peter Watson, CMIOSH (Health & Safety Consultant)
Peter is our external health and safety consultant, who advises our management team on all aspects of health and safety.

Richard Kitchen - NVQ Level 3
Fleet Maintenance Manager
Accredited with NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Richard's role within the company is to cover the maintenance programme of all vehicles and vehicle support. Additionally, Richard will undergo training for CPC with a view to taking over the "O" Licence.
Scott's role as general foreman includes the overseeing of our highways workforce and liasing with our clients and our management team. His experience within the company makes Scott ideally placed for team distribution and resource programming.
