Stuart Kitchen (IOSH)
As the Senior Managing Director of HSL Construction Ltd, Stuart oversees all aspects of running the Company. Stuart has a wealth of experience both within the highways sector and in the specialised telecommunications industry where we are currently helping to provide our clients with broadband services in rural area's. Since forming the company in 2008, the main emphasis has been to offer our clients a quality service which is delivered in a professional manner and within budget and whilst ensuring the safety of our workforce at all times. This ethos has allowed HSL to grow to the point where it now offers full time employment to over 30 members of staff.Most importantly, Stuart has the responsibility of making sure the company remains profitable and sustainable.
Lee is a very ‘ hands on’ working director and plays a Key role in making sure the staff have a clear understanding of their duties and responsibilities to deliver a quality service to our clients and on time.
With his hands on approach he works very closely with our supervisors and oversees the management of all operations.
Working closely with our operatives, Lee is ideally placed to recognise any gaps in training and monitors our Health and safety management requirements with regular Supervisor meetings held at our base.
In addition to his duties as Director of operations, he is also responsible for implementing our Environmental policies and is dedicated to finding ways to reduce the amount of Landfill waste the company would otherwise produce. Lee has recently completed an Environmental Awareness course which is accredited by RoSPA.
Helen plays an important role in the company and as the Accounts manager deals with the day to day running of the finances.
Helen is also heavily involved in organising and keeping our clients up to date with invoicing matters and is the main contact for all Administration issues and documents.
As Company Secretary Helen deals with all Company Policies, Duty of Care issues, Legalities and ensures we adhere to strict Health and Safety guidelines as part of our proactive involvement as members of CHAS and Construction Line.
Responsible for Plant and truck Maintenance, James is also a very hands on member of staff taking on various role's within the company.As a HGV Class 1 driver, James is able to perform all duties, whether it be working in a gang or utilising his skill as a fabricator welder in our workshop. His skills have proved invaluable to the company in reducing expensive repair costs.
Peter Watson, CMIOSH (Health & Safety Consultant)
Peter is our external health and safety consultant, who advises our management team on all aspects of health and safety.

Richard Kitchen - CPC Transport Manager
As Transport Manager, Richard looks after all aspects of running and maintaining HSL's fleet of vehicles. Richard holds a CPC for Transport Managers in Road Haulage and is also a fully qualified HGV mechanic. Qualifications include:-
CPC Transport Manager (Road Haulage)
NVQ level 3, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor
HGV Class 1
Scott Bradley - Operations Manager
Scott's role as Operations Manager includes the overseeing of our highways workforce and liasing with our clients and our management team. His experience within the company makes Scott ideally placed for team distribution and resource programming.
